The year 2017 was a great year. A lot of exciting things happened behind the scenes for me and as most of us do, with time, we learn more about who we are. Over the course of 2017, I found that I have a passion for writing about marriage. I most certainly don’t have all the answers or pretend to, however, there are some topics relating to marriage that should be discussed that I feel are often times overlooked. Also during 2017, I found that goal setting is so important to succeeding. And lastly, change doesn’t happen overnight. Blood, sweat, loss of sleep, desire, willingness, hard work, dedication and buckets of tears all contribute to lasting change. GOALS

The second area that really changed Love Doing Life in 2017 was setting goals. In January 2017, I set a goal to make monthly goals that were both professional and personal and let me tell you…it is a game changer. Seriously! You may think, “Why do I need to set goals? I know what I want to do with my life.” While that is great taking those steps to accomplish dreams takes planning. Having goals that were manageable and challenging made me take steps I NEVER thought I would. Here are a few goal related posts that really helped me.

CHANGE

During the year of 2017, I did a postpartum series. I was TERRIFIED to do this series and to post measurements and pictures of myself. It took me ten to fifteen minutes every month to click the “Publish” button. No joke. I would stare at the screen. BUT what I gathered from this experience is change is no immediate and putting myself out there, stretch-marks, cellulite and all, I could be honest with myself. Honest in the sense that my body will never be the same. My body will not bounce back as quickly as it did the first time. And my body is not the only thing that needs care after having a baby. The postpartum series was such a life-changing experience for me and if you are going through one or about to go through one or even a weight loss journey I would HIGHLY recommend you keep a journal and take pictures of your progress. You do not have to post them on the internet but keeping track is a great way to hold yourself accountable and write down emotions and thoughts.
