After publishing a free Tailgating Checklist it got me thinking. How can I make tailgating a little less strenuous? Let’s face it. Tailgating can be a cumbersome event and when I think about all the things I need to buy or pack I get a little overwhelmed. I am an over-packer by nature. I want to make sure I have every thing I may possibly need in any situation. In response to needing a more simplified tailgate experience I did a little research. I found some really fun DIYs. These DIYs are definitely extras and do not need to be done but if you want a little extra flair on your tailgate for a low cost they are perfect. Also, I found a few hacks that will make the event a little easier as well.
Paint your cooler in school colors
Turn mason jars into football silverware holder – Click here for tutorial
Repurpose a six-pack holder into a condiment organizer
Create your own football field table-cloth – Click here for tutorial
Fitted sheet as a table-cloth
Pre-made salad in plastic cup
Bring an empty plastic tub to throw all dirty dishes into to wash when you get home
Line a beer case (you purchased your beer in for the event) with a plastic bag. Fill with beer and ice. After the game and make shift cooler is empty throw all contents away. Easy clean up!
Now it’s your turn! Tell me what you do to make your life easier while tailgating or BBQing. I want to hear them!
