I recently turned twenty-nine and this year’s celebration was very fitting! Woke up to breakfast in bed 🙂 One of my favorite things!

As I consume the deliciously prepared meal, Michael tells me that I get him for the ENTIRE day! YAY! One of my love languages is quality time and Michael truly delivered. After we got ready for the day we dropped Charlotte off with the grandparents and headed for Ikea.

We spent a couple of hours at Ikea, one of my favorite places. (If you have not been, GO!) I was very excited about the next stop! K1 Speed

Michael had arranged for us to race electric go karts! I had not raced go karts since I was twelve and those were gas karts that you raced outside. The K1 track is an inside track and the best part of all we were able to race each other without having to share the track! I had a blast!

I came to the realization, with the help of my sweet and thoughtful husband, that as I get older, I really should do something that I have not done before for each birthday. Do not get me wrong, I love receiving gifts. I mean, after all I am a woman. 🙂 However, there is something to be said for an experience that provides an incredible memory.

All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend my twenty-ninth birthday. I had a true Love Doing Life day!
